My not so random thought:

Who the hell needs ESPN's boxing page when you get Dan Rafael's insight, boxing schedule info, and his articles from multiple different sites and publications straight to your inbox? The answer? No one.

Thanks for doing what you do, Dan. In our household you're the Abbott of all things boxing!

100%. S. Paul Bryan says it perfectly. What ESPN boxing schedule? It’s rarely updated and Dan sends a legit schedule right to our inbox. Thank you Dan!

First. FFU is awesome. Great job.

Regarding Navarrete, I’d love to see him against Gary Russell Jr ....styles make fights !

Keep up the good work ❤️🥊

This is turning out to be my go-to place for boxing news. Great service; really appreciate it. Hope Dan is making a few $ to ensure it's sustainable.

Unfortunately I will have to make it a paid subscription service to keep it viable.

Hopefully there are other monetization options available before going the paid subscription route. There's plenty of other outlets delivering content not close to this standard funded by sponsorship, ads, etc. Not my field of expertise though. Hope it all works out.

Dan, it took me a while to find you after your last assignment, in which I lost track. I'm so glad to see you are putting out a new boxing letter. I like the format and I like the "style." I appreciate how you have reinvented yourself. Keep up the good work!

Agreed re: Ryan Garcia. Choosing to deal with his issues rather than imploding is manning up in my opinion. He’s been running on hi speed and has set the bar as high as he can. Better to deal now and not crash and burn out of control.

As of right now, I see it as Berlanga having two pro fights at this point. And doing just fine. 23 years old, already can go 8 rounds, camp knows now what needs to be done to grow, and we can enjoy whether he can or not, as we have done with all of the other fighters we love too watch and have watched over the years. It took multiple pro fights before Hearns became the hit man. This is pro level. It's not easy.

Hey Dan , I absolutely agree with everything in your story from Berlanga on. It was a great fight card all the way through and exactly what boxing needed. A lot of talent , heart but also potential on view . Liked Ortiz and Oderno as well , constant back and forth from both although Oderno seemed to run out of gas in the latter part. Great reporting drowns the trolls.

I did like that Berlanga got some rounds in. His hands are very heavy and he will continue to be a draw. I know he wants Canelo but..... nope. He telegraphed punches, he left his chin open but all of that was to be expected. 5-6 more fights and he is a changed fighter. He looks like he has a good head on his shoulders and he did something during the fight that showed me a lot. After the first round he told his people to mellow a bit. His plan was to go rounds and become a better fighter. I would

Like to see more body shots and fluidity on his uppercut but again that will come with experience.
