I've been in the boxing business for 45+ years. After watching the huge disparity in experience between Erika Cruz and Amanda Serrano common sense would say 'Why are we watching this?" One I am an Amanda Serrano fan 100%. Too little was said about Ericka Cruz after the fight. I would travel across the United States to watch Erika fight again. This young lady forced ANY commentator to HAVE to speak positive about her....because she forced that conversation through her desire to win...to compete for the honor of being an undisputed champion...to prove that yes, UNDERDOGS, can win. I believe this fight was much closer than the judges scorecards and the REAL experienced boxing people know that;.....but a million dollar fight was looming in the background...and it is what it is.....but in truth....This girl, Erika Cruz, deserves much more attention and shows what can happen when heart and intestinal fortitude comes into play;......experience is thrown out the window. The more polished and experienced fighter was Serrano....but the winner in the fans hearts was Cruz.
The promo ended for the May 20 Serrano fight and my girlfriend turned to me and declared, “we’re watching it”

Cruz was great and she made it into a great fight
