It's unfortunate Rocchigiani didn't end the WBC.

Having the same number of minutes as the men's title fights is a step forward, although i'd be happier if it had been done over time so we got to see how it went so instead of the former 10 x 2 minute rounds we had 12 x 2 minute rounds or 10 x 3 minute rounds and if all good then 12 x 3 minutes.

Bit of a surprise that they went the whole hog with a 16 minute [80%] increase. 12 x 2 [20%] may have been a starting point. Or even 10 3s [50%]. Fair play to them for giving it a go though. Be interesting to see how it plays out. Cameron has now called for Taylor rematch to be 12 3s...

BTW Dan: Maybe drop the Warren stuff. You're the better man on this one for sure. Warren seems to have lost his mind on this occasion!

I hate to agree with the WBC (or at least some of their argument), but don't think this helps women's boxing. The short rounds ensures action and the lack of KO power will just drag exciting 20 minute fights into laborious 36 minute affairs. Of course there will be exceptions, but the overall depth of women's boxing isn't stout and won't be served by this decision.

I think adding the championship rounds but keeping them to 2:00 is the appropriate compromise, but apparently I'm not the Czar of Boxing, so...

Would you’d you prefer the 12 RDs 3 Min Rds for the ladies DTM?? Also why is the WBC against it???
