Teofimo Should've Beaten Prograis or Haney & Then Retired!! He's not a HOF'er IMO 👍🏻

I’m surprised. I didn’t expect that at all after such a dominating victory. Maybe he simply wanted to leave boxing in victory and on top. Perhaps he will return after his family situation calms a bit. It can’t be easy to focus on training for elite opponents with such a personal matter still unsettled. He’s such a talented and passionate guy, it’s a loss for boxing if he’s truly done. We’ll see.

Fantastic Performance and I must confess I had written him off and was putting his Lomo win as much down to Lomo's poor start as Teo's control. He fought like an ass against Kombosos and paid for it completely disrespecting his opponent, he really thought he would walk through him in minutes and came unstuck. He showed maturity against Taylor and soaked up some punishment in the first three rounds before re-asserting himself on the fight and from the 5th onwards the gulf got wider and wider. I hope this retirement is for the benefit of the courts and we see him back in the ring, at 25 he still has a lot to offer and the 140 and 147 pounds have some very good opponents. Outside the ring he remains embarrassing but if he performs like he did against Taylor the irritant factor will become incidental.

While he did piss me off with his excuses for losing or say some dumb shit, there's no denying the mofo can flat box when he really puts his mind to it. I figured he would mow down the rest at 140, but he decided to go a diff route in life. Best of luck to him and his future.

I won't miss reading about him or hearing from him for awhile. Deprive this of oxygen and my guess is he'll be back early next year.
