Well that sucks. I’m glad they canceled it. I am not a fan of the “sheep to the slaughter” kind of fight where the “opponent” is so outsized, and you really don’t know it until you see both guys in the ring. Glad they canceled it. Rosado is a true warrior and deserves better than fighting up three weight classes to get a paycheck.

Another reporter on his podcast made the suggestion of Zurdo moving up to cruiserweight to fight Badou Jack. Seems much more feasible now.

Zurdo needs to be suspended, and his purse given to Rodado. This is embarrassing.

HIt him where it hurts in his pockets make him feel it give him a year in the bullpen. That is showing what he is not. The only thing professional about Zero is he gets paid to fight, and he can not even get that right, showing up 12 lbs higher then was req. Get back man, bet back to where you once belonged. Not you Zero but Jo Jo although it looks like they are playing weight games too. So it goes so it goes.

Very unprofessional of Ramirez, as well as Diaz & Gesta who also have no excuse for coming in over the agreed 135lb limit.

Unless Ramirez has some sort of endocrine problem it's unforgiveable and I'm glad he's gonna be suspended as he's denied Gaby a payday and Gaby is also hugely out of pocket due to his training camp costs.

Not a good look for DAZN especially after their recent price hikes - I hope the fighters in Newcastle later tonight are more professional so that no more DAZN fights need to be cancelled.

Gesta put on weight to meet Diaz. He would have made 35. Not his fault. They fattened him up because Diaz couldn’t or wouldn’t make 35.

Ah I see, thanks Dan. Thought it was a bit strange as I can't remember reading that Gesta is having problems making 135lbs. Whereas I don't think Diaz has made 135 since the Haney fight - but as you suggest maybe he can still make if he really wants to.

But the fight is on DAZN why make the effort to make weight if the platform dont care why would the fighters ? Maybe they think over at Dazn if they dont respect weight classifacation the same way they dont care about drugged fighters it will all pan out. Like having a job or contract with a contractor that does shitty work if no one else cares why should the fighters.

I think it's unusual for a fighter to be so over the weight limit as Ramirez was - normally DAZN can still put a fight on and so you're probably right that they don't really care about the weight limits.

I remember Jo Jo Diaz being almost 4 pounds over the 130lb limit against Rakhimov. They simply threw in a 140lb rehydration clause which was easily adhered to by both fighters and the fight went ahead - Rakhimov the only one being able to win the title as he had been under the 130lb limit.

DAZN still got its fight and it hasn't seemed to affect Diaz being shown on DAZN.

Seems that as long as the fight goes ahead DAZN doesn't give a damn about the weight limits. Maybe this has been realised by some Golden Boy fighters which makes them less likely to come in under the limit.

I think Ramirez has taken this to the extreme and DAZN had to cancel the fight - it'll be interesting to see if this does affect his fights being shown on DAZN in the future. If it doesn't, as I suspect, that will send a bad message to Golden Boy & Matchroom fighters.

ONLY reason they stopped the fight was bc Zero had a a chance to put his opponent out of commision for good with the weight dispairity going into the fight to begin with. One guy moving up the weight classes another guy just not respecting boxing, and one guy loosing badly and another guy fighting beyound his age limit forget his weight limit. They dumbzone did not want to get caught with another body on the canvass lifeless as it could have been. Even a bum can cause brain damage against the right opponent trust me on that. I have watched bums fight.

Duarte vs Martin was a good fight Duarte looked real in the fight. Tudor less a good fight as that one but a good fight none the less. They are look like friday night fights to me some even less so. But guys that will be up and coming how far up and coming to what we do not know yet.
