BJS is a slick natural boxer, but he doesn't possess the power to bother Canelo. He's gonna have to fight a perfect fight to have a chance. Same with Plant.
Nobody seems to argue that the WBA also sanctioned the fight. If the fight was that bad, why did they not refuse to sanction it as a WBA title defence? Same for Ring Magazine.....
Saunders is an underdog for sure against Canelo - but the dude can box and has tended to perform to the level of his opponent. The guy who boxed circles around David Lemieux will be a live dog, if that guy shows up.
Dan, it's obvious you dislike Saunders, you forgot to mention Canelo has tested positive for clenbuterol, in the past. If you mention it about one then you should about the other, just saying.
I like your setup here Dan! This was definitely not one of them. Still, the absolute total domination was impressive. Yildrim may have sat somewhere on lower end of the boxer scale between opponent and contender, but he was no tomato can, until he got in the ring with Canelo. As Mr. Tyson famously said; “everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the mouth”. His 700+ days of training and probably, obsessive, planning for his defining moment evaporated in a heartbeat, and a quick, stiff, and entirely effortless punch in the kisser.
Plz ,that was a great fighter he fought?? The sheep was nothing a former sparring partner at that !! How boxing blows up these pound for pound best guys , I'll keep watching for a good laugh but money talks and anyone can be a champion ask your big mouth mayweather and his thugs !!!
Yildirim probably went over this fight in his head a million times. None of those run through’s went the way it went last night. He looked totally finished after the third. In over his head so much farther than he imagined.
Canelo is simply too fast, too smart, and too strong now. Sorry but BJS has no chance. This guy is one of the greats. Lastly, great article Dan.

Perhaps Zurro R. Or Bandera Rojo Benevidez
Would clash with Beterbiev.
Save the hypothetical matchups
Canelo is not going up to lhwght.

Yildirim did what he had to do for his family. Unfortunately it came at our expense and time the fans.

If the same Saunders who whooped Lemieux turns up, should be a good fight.
