No, but most people would root for their countrymen. But when fans are from neutral countries then they can cheer for anyone they want.

In the case of a certain nationality (mine nationality) we absolutely love it when people from other countries cheer for our boxers. It brings us even more pride, joy, honor and means more to us than you can possibly imagine.

My friend may I please know what is your nationality? Thank you.

What country you are from has always been a part of boxing, I do believe it may have shifted a bit and gone more to the personality of a boxer how he carries himself in this era of boxing borders are blurred in that reguard. Be interesting to watch Joshua - Usyk and see if that plays a part both in the ring, with the fans, and also with the cards if it goes that far. Yes its a part of boxing still but I dont think as big a part as it used to be. Several reasons for that acutally.

Great response. But the fact of asking your nationality is to know where you are from, then follow up by asking you if you follow any boxers from my country, then finally asking you history (knowledge mostly) with my country. It's just a matter of curiosity. I assure you I mean no disrespect.

Although I do write a lot. 😅
